Jonathon has worked in both the Australian and UK restructuring and insolvency markets, has in excess of 23 years’ experience (12 years at a big four firm) and conducted a number of assignments across a range of industries including real estate, construction, mining, hospitality and medical. 

Jonathon specialises in real property and has led numerous projects including development feasibility, highest and best use, facility and property management, operational / construction / debt / equity cash flows, project management, drawdowns, asset repositioning and sale.

Significant engagements

  • Receivership and sale of two adjoining Mascot based (and one Brisbane based) office / industrial properties value circa $95m.
  • Receivership, repositioning and sale of a large Melbourne CBD based office tower, construction / lease incentive funding circa $32m, WALE from 0 to 5 years, NABERS from 2 to 3.5, building from B Grade to Prime Grade, value from circa $95m to $167m
  • Administration and going concern sale of a tier 1 conveyor contractor with turnover circa $75m
  • Administration and restructure of the bowling and recreation Club, all debts paid in full, residual core business asset retained and registered 99 year lease secured
  • Administration, development completion and sale involving ten companies, five major banks, 12 property developments including land subdivisions, industrial strata complexes, apartment tower, townhouses with circa 150 titles
  • Receivership, development and refinance of a Ballina based five stage, 238 lot residential land subdivision
  • Receivership and sale of a Rockhampton based four stage, 216 lot residential land subdivision
  • Receivership and going concern sale of a 400 seat Darling Harbour restaurant
  • Receivership and sale / refinance of numerous rent rolls
